Everyone Wants to Be Rich, But Nobody Truly Wants to Work for It – IKIGAI and the Law of Attraction

Introduction

We hear it almost daily in our constant surroundings, at work, at home, from friends: “I want more money,” “it would be nice to have a better life,” “I want to start my own path.” But these sentences in themselves mean nothing, they are just complaints. More precisely: they create nothing in themselves. Well, that’s not entirely true. Thoughts, yes. Desire, yes. But results? No. Because the Law of Attraction is not a wish-granting machine. Conscious building, however, is. But how do you start?

Law of Attraction: Not a Miracle, But Psychological Programming

The Law of Attraction doesn’t mean that if you chant “I want to be rich” loud enough, a lottery win will fall into your lap. Instead, it means that if you decide in advance what you desire and start to see it as a path, your brain will notice the opportunities.

This isn’t spiritual soul-soothing. This is how the RAS (Reticular Activating System) works. If you talk about a car, you’ll see it everywhere afterwards. If you decide you’re going to be a rich person, your brain will start filtering out income opportunities. But only if you internally believe that you deserve it. Of course, this doesn’t mean you’ll be filthy rich tomorrow. It simply means that your brain will start giving you impulses to walk with “open eyes” and notice opportunities. Or, if one is already taking shape, to work on achieving it. Success is not guaranteed; it’s your job to achieve what you want.

Ikigai: When Desire Finds Direction

The Japanese term Ikigai means “reason for being” or “the meaning of life.” But its modern meaning is something even more practical: that deep inner harmony where what you love, what you’re good at, what the world needs, and what you can be paid for – are all the same. Ikigai essentially means that if you are dedicated to something in your life, whether it’s a profession, a hobby, anything through which you create value and also get paid for it, then you can perform exceptionally well in it, and it essentially becomes your life’s purpose.

Wealth truly begins to arrive when:

  • you know what you’re good at,
  • you see who you can help with it,
  • and you are willing to act on it in a structured way.

Because if there’s an internal “why,” there will also be a “how.”

Why It Doesn’t Work for Most People

Just think about it. You wake up in the morning, look in the mirror, and see the same tired, bored face again. You head to work, where you navigate around the same slumped-over people who, like you, are just trying to survive the day. Your workplace isn’t even work anymore; it’s more of a oppressive routine. You come home and complain: to your partner, your friend, your family. They complain too. You give each other advice, but everyone stays in the same place. The only difference is that another day has passed in your life. And you still don’t know which way to go.

90% of people only consume inspiration. They read an article like this, and 10 minutes later, they’re in the same mindset as before. Because the angle along which action occurs isn’t built into their daily thinking. Everyone just complains, saying what’s wrong and why their life sucks. Dissatisfaction takes the main stage, the front row in the performance, demanding that everything be about it. The negative aspect only encourages you to get stuck in the mire you’ve been living in, and to focus only on this, pity yourself, dwell on it, and not on solving your problems.

This is how “I want to be rich and successful” turns into a lifelong “I wish.”

So What Should You Do?

  • Know exactly what you want. Not “more money,” but for example, a net 3000 USD per month. Formulate specifically what you want and how you can achieve it.
  • Ask yourself daily: “What is the very next step I can take?”
  • Make it a habit to look for opportunities. Don’t just ponder them.
  • Incorporate the logic of Ikigai into your daily life. Everything you do should bring you closer to what you love, what you’re good at, and what the world needs.

Closing Thought

Wealth is not unattainable. But it’s not the result of a wish-granting machine either. It’s the interplay of your attention, your actions, your self-awareness, and your persistence.

Ikigai helps give meaning to the path. The Law of Attraction turns on your radar. But you have to step onto it.

Wealth is not a game for the lucky, but for those who align their thoughts and actions in a conscious direction. Ikigai shows the meaningful and sustainable path, and the Law of Attraction helps you notice what you’ve avoided until now. The key? Knowing what you want, and taking action for it today.
