The Polite Rebellion
There’s a strange trend in the world.
It’s not new.
It’s just becoming more brazen.
It’s that people forget to greet each other.
No, we’re not talking about the “Good morning, dear Mrs. Taylor” type of excessive politeness.
We’re talking about that simple, human gesture that represents the absolute minimum of living together.
A “Hi,” a “Good day,” a “Hello,” or just a nod.
Nobody expects bows and curtsies. Just that when you enter a place – you say hello. Not because the security guard or the cashier had such a great day. But because this is the behavior that distinguishes a human being from a boor. And if you’re a little offended right now… …that might be a good sign. Maybe you still have a knack for change.
Mr. Politeness isn’t an influencer. Nor is he a motivational guru. Mr. Politeness holds up a mirror. In our glitch-distorted world, he tries to remind us of what many have forgotten: style is not an option. Neither are manners.
This isn’t nostalgia for the politeness of bygone eras. This is a resistance to cultural decline. And if you’re asking now: “Seriously? We’re nitpicking about such minor things? Greeting? Manners?” The answer is: yes. That’s precisely why we are where we are.
The blog’s goal?
Not sanctimony.
Not lecturing.
Shaping perspectives. Without peacock feathers. Post by post, topic by topic, we will explore those behavioral norms, that haven’t disappeared – they’re just on the verge of extinction. And it’s time to revive them. Not easily digestible motivational fluff. Not scolding. Culture. Character. Refinement.
And the first rule?
Say hello!
Because from how you enter a place, I’ll know everything about you before you even speak.
Welcome to the club, if you know what the word “welcome” means.
— Mr. Politeness
